The cost of a gallon of fuel has risen to more than $6 across the state, and UC Irvine economics professor Gary Richardson said locals shouldn’t expect any relief at the pumps soon. He touched on how a continuation of the war will have a negative impact on consumers. … “Over the next 3 to 6 months, you're going to see prices of lots of other things go up, because it costs more for products to get manufactured and packaged and shipped to the store.” He adds that the longer the conflict continues, U.S. consumers will have to deal with rising inflation, which is common during wartime.
