Higher prices for fuel often have a domino effect on consumers. UC Irvine economics professor Gary Richardson says we should expect to pay more. “Everything is made somewhere and shipped to you. The shipping is more expensive because the fuel for trucks, for cars, for planes all has gotten more expensive,” Richardson said.
