In an analysis of U.S. Census Bureau statistics from 1980 to 2015, economists Grace Lordan (London School of Economics) and David Neumark (University of California at Irvine) concluded minimum-wage earners are “quite vulnerable to employment changes and job loss because of automation following a minimum-wage increase.”
