The School of Social Sciences is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025-26 Dean’s Awards for Outstanding Teaching:
- Nadia Chernyak, Cognitive Sciences - School of Social Sciences Dr. Joseph L. White Award for Outstanding Mentorship
- Christofer Rodeo, Chicano/Latino Studies - Dean’s Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching
- Laura Enriquez, Chicano/Latino Studies - Dean’s Award for Outstanding Teaching Innovation
Faculty were nominated for one of three awards recognizing the use of innovative teaching methods, mentorship, and pedagogical excellence. The selection was done by the school’s Executive Committee. The recipients each receive a $2,000 research stipend.
Established in 2014 by dean Bill Maurer, past award recipients include:

- Kamal Sadiq, Political Science - Dean’s Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching
