The U.S. Department of Labor announced that the economy lost 92,000 jobs … last month and that unemployment ticked up to 4.4%. … Gary Richardson is a professor of economics at UC Irvine … He says job seekers have to be more open during this period of uncertainty. “Apply a lot of places and think pretty broadly. You want to make sure you have good general skills, that can be applicable in any area, and hope the specialty you’ve been working on is going to pick up,” says Richardson.
