UCI to launch pre-health program with support from state of California

“UC Irvine will launch its new pre-health program with support from a three and a half million dollar grant from the state of California. ‘So, these programs are meant to diversify California’s medical schools and to train physicians who receive specialized training in working with California’s most medically underserved communities,’ [says] Belinda Campos, professor and chair of Chicano/Latino studies and a faculty member in the program in medical education for the Latino community.”
