Kandiss Crone reports on how focus has shifted to whether the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike will actually bring down inflation or risk a recession by slowing the economy. Experts weighing in on the issue include UCI professor of economics, Eric Swanson: “For the inflation, in particular, there’s a lot of demand. Supply has still not completely bounced back to where it was before the pandemic – there’s still a lot of supply chain disruptions coming from China, for instance.”
