Rachel Klemek

Rachel launched Blackmarket Bakery with a simple vision - to create delight featuring real ingredients, classic technique, and a sense of fun. Inspired by memories of her childhood in the South, Chef Rachel, her family, and staff opened retail locations in Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, and San Diego.

Klemek is an accomplished pastry chef who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in Napa Valley, after graduating from UC Irvine with a bachelor's in anthropology. On December 8, she shared her recipe for success with alumni and community members as part of the be BOLD 2.1 speaker series. Listen in.
