The son of UC Irvine mathematics professor Abel Klein, Ezra spent much of his childhood
hanging out on and around the campus. … Klein, who lives in Oakland, returned to UC
Irvine in February to deliver a lecture hosted by the Jack W. Peltason Center for
the Study of Democracy. He spoke on the topic of identity politics, which is also
the subject of his upcoming book.
