From the Detroit Free Press:
"China in the last 15 years, last 30 years, last 50 years and last 150 years has been
trying to catch up to the rest of the world, and in that process what I would say
is that China has heavily mortgaged its future," said Wang Feng, professor of sociology
at the University of California, Irvine, and a visiting professor at Fudan. "We don't
fully understand the full implication of China's pollution on people's health."
