A number of UCI educators will be honored Thursday at UCI’s student center as part of the 21st annual Celebration of Teaching Awards…Marcelo Wood of the Francisco J. Ayala School of Biological Sciences will receive the Professor of the Year Award. Jeanett Castellanos of the School of Social Sciences will receive the Lecturer of the Year Award. Debra Mauzy-Melitz of the Francisco J. Ayala School of Biological Sciences will receive the TA Development Award. Joanne Christopherson of the School of Social Sciences will receive the Instructional Technology Innovation Award. Edelina Burciaga and Steven Frenda have been named Most Promising Future Faculty Members.
