From the OC Register:
UC Irvine alumna Christina Gagnier (Class of ’04) has entered the race for California’s
35th Congressional District seat in the Inland Empire. A lawyer specializing in information
privacy and Internet consumer rights, Gagnier hopes to tackle issues in the online
space like digital literacy, cybersecurity and net neutrality. “We need more specialists
in Congress who can lead the way on issues the new generation is facing,” she said
of her decision to run for public office. Gagnier served as student body vice president
during her time at UCI and graduated magna cum laude with degrees in political science
