Hindelang Award from the American Society of Criminology for his book, “The Black Child-Savers: Racial Democracy & Juvenile Justice.”… UC Irvine professor of economics Stergios Skaperdas was recently named the Clifford S. Heinz Chair, a position established by the UC Regents to honor outstanding UC Irvine scholars studying peace economics… Doug Tobias, a UC Irvine professor of chemistry, was recently named a 2013 American Chemical Society Fellow.
