From the OC Register:
The UC Irvine men’s volleyball team is hoping to soar back to the NCAA championships
this year, and “Air France” is ready to put the Anteaters on his wings. Kevin Tillie,
better known as Air France by followers of the team, is the towering outside hitter
for the Anteaters who hails from the French Riviera town of Cagnessur-Mer. Tillie
is UCI’s most prolific offensive weapon this season and one of the key components
in last spring’s run to the national title. The path to another crown isn’t as clear
as it was a year ago, when UCI entered the postseason ranked No. 2 in the country.
The Anteaters have taken a back seat to Brigham Young University this season, but
Tillie believes they’re primed for another deep run in the postseason. “We’re in good
position to be real tough in the playoffs,” he said.
