Shaping Global Order and the Future of Finance
The Fifth Conference on Digital Governance in China
The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and the Long U.S.–China Institute at UC Irvine will convene scholars and policy experts from the United States and Canada for a focused discussion of two interconnected transformations in global governance. The first session will examine how China’s technological ambitions, amid intensifying U.S.–China strategic competition, are reshaping the global order—and how middle and pivotal powers can respond and contribute to global AI governance. The second will explore how developments in digital currencies and tokenized financial infrastructure are affecting business and society, creating new demands for cross-border regulatory coordination, and reshaping global financial governance.
The conference will be conducted under the CIGI Rule, and open to UCI community.
