This work leverages data from the Baby’s First Years (BFY) study – a randomized control trial that provided unconditional monthly cash transfers to low-income mothers with young children – to assess the interactive effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and stimulus payments on children’s early home environments. A secondary goal is to explore whether these family-process effects might have been responsible for the generally null impacts of the cash transfers on development when the study children were four years old.
Lunch will be served.
