Do you have a research idea or paper (not yet in press) that involves a health angle? Or are you interested in pursuing new research which would benefit from a postdoc or GSR time? The National Institute of Health (NIH) offers one grant mechanism that involves relatively low effort but potentially high reward--the R21. Tim Bruckner, Professor of Public Health and Co-Director of CPIP, will present on developing grant proposals for NIH's R21 mechanism. R21 grants support exploratory/development projects providing up to $275,000 in direct costs over 2 years.
