In this talk, Prosper discusses the discursive and corporeal struggle between organizers of the Kominote M to shape a new “masimadi” subjectivity against nationalist men in the context of Haiti’s recolonization. Prosper is particularly interested in exploring the counter- narratives and actions they produce to indigenize language about non-normative sexualities in the country.
