Faculty presenters were supported through a Provost Initiative on Understanding and Engaging with Extremism and will examine diverse topics that range from countering science denialism to defending the denial of human rights. These talks are engaging, informative, and evidence-based.

Aileen Anderson, director of the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center
Julia Lupton, associate dean and professor of English in the School of Humanities
Bill Maurer, professor of anthropology and law, and dean of the School of Social Sciences
Elena Peterson, professor of pathology and associate dean of admissions and outreach, College of Medicine
David Pan, professor of German and chair of the Department of European Languages and Studies

The event is free and open to the public with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Refreshments and swag bags will be provided.
