Thirteenth Annual China Town Hall
China's rapid development has a direct impact on the lives of nearly everyone in the
United States. The China Town Hall is a national conversation about the US-China relationship
that puts the public in dialogue with leading experts. The Town Hall consists of two
parts: a live webcast (3-4pm) and an on-site panel discussion with local scholars
(4-5pm).
The webcast will be moderated by George Stephanopoulos (ABC News) in conversation
with Stephen Orlins (National Committee on US-China Relations), Melanie Hart (Center
for American Progress), Yasheng Huang (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), and
Ely Ratner (Center for a New American Security).
The webcast will be immediately followed by an on-site panel discussion featuring
Ji Li (UC Irvine School of Law), Teresa Wright (California State University Long Beach),
and John Mok (UC Irvine), moderated by Emily Baum (UC Irvine).
