The Pacific Teatro Theatre presents a simulation of a faculty merit-promotion review in an academic department. The production emphasizes the ways in which racial-ethnic and gender biases impact the decision-making process. The play is followed by an interactive session with the audience.  The characters are asked questions (the actors stay in character) as a mode of discussion, culminating with an improvisation in which the cast replays various problematic moments from the play using audience suggestions about how to interrupt the toxic interactions observed in the original version.
