The Deutsche Bundesbank will host its fourth International Cash Conference from 10 to 12 September 2019 in Munich, Germany. The theme of the conference is “Cash in the age of payment diversity”. Following the concept of the previous Cash Conferences, experts from academia, public authorities (including central banks), special interest groups and the private sector are invited to present their cash related research papers and to exchange views on cash-related subjects. We are proud to announce Professor Lars Feld and Professor Bill Maurer as keynote speakers. De Nederlandsche Bank will be attending this conference as our guest of honor.

Our aim is to improve the understanding of cash payment economics based on recent academic research in general and, more specifically, to help identify possible developments and dynamics that will shape the future cash payments landscape.

The event will commence with a welcome reception on the evening of 09 September 2019, and will continue from 10 to 12 September 2019 with lectures and discussions. The conference will be held in English; all papers and publications will be available in English only.
