Join Chancellor Gillman and UCI first gen faculty for a discussion of what it means to be not only the first person in your family to go to college, but also the first to become an academic. Listen in as Chancellor Gillman tells his own first gen story and hear from the Anita Casavantes Bradford, the UCI First Gen Faculty Initiative founder, and Pavan Kadandale, current director. Along with Long T. Bui, the group will share how their personal lives intersect their professional lives, and how others can help grow and support the first gen community.
