Carlin Romano is professor of philosophy and humanities at Ursinus College, Critic-at-Large of The Chronicle of Higher Education, and author of America the Philosophical (Alfred A. Knopf/Vintage). He is a fellow of the UC National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement.
