Do bailouts benefit banks (or anyone else)? Why won't Los Angeles win Amazon HQ2? How do firms deal with complicated sales taxes? Are corporations run as democracies?

For the past eight weeks, faculty, Ph.D. students, undergraduate students, and high school students have been researching these provocative questions in a summer program run by the Program in Corporate Welfare. The program, established in spring 2017, is housed in the School of Social Sciences at UC Irvine. The symposium offers an opportunity for community members, faculty, staff, and students to see the findings. Join us for refreshments and poster presentations on this engaging research by the students involved.

RSVPs to Shani Brasier are requested. Parking is available in the Social Sciences Parking Structure for $2 per hour or $10 per day.
