Mayor Tri Ta was elected on November 6, 2012 and became the first Vietnamese American elected mayor in the United States. Prior to being elected, he served as a commissioner for the City’s Committee and Advisory Committee for the Disabled.  The event features an interactive conversation about the Mayor’s background, personal journey and involvement in diversity initiatives in the City of Westminster.

The event is part of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity’s Campus Conversations Series which aims to provide the campus community with opportunities to engage in dialogues about contemporary topics related to equal opportunity and diversity.
