The transgender movement poses a wide variety of ethical issues for many, from feminists concerned with women’s identity to colleges dedicated to educating women. This talk raises some of them and describes the current arguments advanced on the many sides of this intricate and complex phenomenon. This talk outlines key issues concerning transgenderism for American higher education by discussing the key issues raised by this movement, and contemporary responses to transgenderism by feminists and other critics of the movement. We take no stand on the possible resolutions of this issue but instead try to highlight the different ethical issues involved.
