Returning to UCI after three years as Director of the Brookings-Tsingua Institute of Public Policy in Beijing, sociologist-demographer Wang Feng discusses recent developments in China, particularly the remarkable dismantling of the One-Child Policy. His research was instrumental in demonstrating the negative consequences of the policy as well as well as why it was time to end it. His research and advocacy have made him a leading expert on one of the biggest social changes of the 21st Century.
