This workshop will provide tools for scholars interested in conducting quantitative and qualitative research across national contexts. The workshop includes speakers, trainings, and interactive discussions with faculty from sociology, political science, anthropology, and the Office of Research Development at UCI, in addition to two special guests: Lane Kenworthy from the University of Arizona and Irene Bloemraad from UC Berkley. The workshop will focus on issues of research methods, strategies for publication, and ways to handle problems unique to cross-national comparative work. The day-long event will include breakfast, lunch, and a network reception.
