A day-long conference featuring Kenneth Gross, author of Shylock Is Shakespeare, David Goldstein, food writer and Shakespeare scholar, and a dramatic exploration hosted by Robert Cohen, Claire Trevor Professor of Drama at UCI. The event will also include a special session featuring graduate student research on The Merchant of Venice.

1:00 p.m. "The Voices of The Merchant of Venice," lecture by Kenneth Gross, University of Rochester, author of Shylock Is Shakespeare (University of Chicago Press, 2005)

3:00 p.m. "Hath Not a Jew Eyes?" Directed by Robert Cohen, featuring Richard Brestoff, Jesse Easley and Ryan Imhoff, UCI Department of Drama
