Invisible Children was founded in 2003 following a college group's trip to Uganda. While there, the students learned about and were moved by the stories of child soldiers who were abducted into the country's Lord's Resistance Army. Since the inception of Invisible Children, the group has worked to set Ugandans free from displacement camps, rebuild schools, and spread word of the plight of the country's child soldiers.
