University of California, Irvine, political science professor Louis DeSipio discusses the current state of the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding amid ongoing regional tensions. “We are really in a quite similar situation to where we’ve been for the past month or six weeks, where each side is making assertions to a global audience and backing that up with a willingness to use military force. The unknown, of course, is what Israel is willing to concede to and that’s been tested very much in the last 48 hours,” says DeSipio.
