Here in Los Angeles, many undocumented immigrants say they're too afraid to file taxes amid concern of the IRS's sharing personal information with ICE. … Professor Louis DeSipio, professor of political science and Chicano/Latino studies at UC Irvine, says, “Yes, I do think they have reason to be fearful, because the Trump administration has very consciously tried to use branches of the federal government that previously weren’t involved in immigration enforcement to help identify where undocumented immigrants are living.”
