UC Irvine’s nearly 9,000 graduates had their commencement ceremonies just a few days ago but today a very unique group of Anteaters got their turn. And new at 5, NBC 4’s Hetty Chang is live at UCI – and we should point out it didn’t take place there. … It actually took place in San Diego, at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, that’s because all of the graduates – all 15 of them – are also inmates. “Education is what saved me,” says UC Irvine sociology graduate Joel B.
