Civil unrest in LA: Using protest to achieve social change

The recent protests in Los Angeles are in direct response to the ICE raids, which are causing outrage among Angelenos. Many are hoping their demonstrations will lead to policy change when it comes to immigration. David Meyer, professor of sociology at UC Irvine who specializes in social movements and social change, joined "Your Morning" to discuss. “I do think it’s important to project the image of people who are concerned about the future of America and concerned about due process. Because I think that is the thing that is most likely to unite a broad coalition,” said Meyer.
