University of California, Irvine political science professor Louis DeSipio says Joe Biden's comments calling Trump supporters 'garbage' are "reminiscent" of comments made by Hillary Clinton in 2016 when she called Trump's supporters “deplorables." President Biden was criticizing a comedian from Donald Trump's recent Madison Square Garden rally who referred to Puerto Rico as a "floating island of garbage." … “President Biden overstepped his bounds today and took the narrative away from Vice President Harris. That’s really unfortunate,” says DeSipio.
