What, if any, differences do you think there are between Visa and Mastercard in the eyes of the average consumer? Bill Maurer, UCI Dean, School of Social Sciences, Professor, Anthropology, Law, and Criminology, Law and Society, Director, Institute for Money, Technology and Financial Inclusion said, “For the points-and-benefits conscious consumer, scrutinizing the benefits offered by the issuing bank is going to be more important than whether the card is on the Mastercard or Visa network. But there is not much difference for the average consumer.”
