L.A.'s Afternoon News spoke to UC Irvine political science [and law] professor Tony Smith about the third indictment facing former President Donald Trump. “It sounds bad. It is bad. We all watched it happen, so it isn’t like anything in the complaint or in the indictment is shocking … He’s [Trump] going to say, ‘Everything I did was with advice of counsel. I cleared it with people working in the Justice Department. Everyone assured me – even though I thought it was crazy – that this was real,’” says Smith.
