Gender pay gap persists globally, even for same jobs within companies

Women still earn less than men in many of the world’s largest and most developed economies, even when they’re doing the same job as their male counterparts in the same company. This is one of the conclusions of a new study that looks at the gender pay gap in 15 countries. … Our study, published recently in Nature Human Behaviour, brought together 29 professors and researchers from around the globe to analyze millions of data points with matched employer-employee data. The project was led by Andrew Penner from University of California, Irvine.
