Sabrina Strings is a professor of sociology at the University of California, Irvine, and author of the book "Fearing The Black Body: The Racial Origins Of Fat Phobia." … “There are many different people now who are doing work that show that an individual can be healthy at any size so long as they have the resources to do so, like access to fruits and vegetables, access to lean proteins, living in walkable neighborhoods, having clean drinking water. All of these things are so important to our health outcomes and yet instead of looking at these factors, people want to focus just on the weight and tell fat people to lose weight. It's useless.”
