Michael Tesler, a political scientist at the University of California, Irvine, examined answers to “racial resentment” questions in a Presidential Election Panel Survey conducted by the RAND Corporation in December and January to see how the responses correlated with presidential voting intentions. … Tesler’s findings are illustrated in the accompanying chart.
