Throughout the history of stock markets around the world, share traders have been
looking for a magic formula to predict and understand the movement of the stockmarket.
Mathematical models have been used to predict this in the past and overreliance on
them has led to problems, as Physicist James Owen Weatherall from the University of
California, Irvine, has written about in his book The Physics of Wall Street.
