Intel Labs completes roll-out Of $100 mln ISTC program

Intel Corp. (INTC: News ) said Intel Labs completed the roll-out of its $100 million
Intel Science and Technology Center or ISTC program. The company stated that the seventh
ISTC is focused on social computing and hosted at the University of California, Irvine
in collaboration with several other universities. The company noted that more than
20 research projects from around the globe explored technologies to change lives over
the next 10 years, from smart cities, homes and offices to the way it shop, communicate
and drive. The company said Intel Labs showcased a 10th anniversary Hall of Fame,
highlighting key technologies invented by Intel Labs over the past decade that are
now incorporated in products that impact the world.
