As an interdisciplinary field engaged with a wide array of pressing global issues, International Studies strives to include a wide array of disciplines from across the social sciences and humanities. Researchers engaged with transnational issues are beginning to recognize a growing need for the disciplines to engage not only with each other, but to engage with wider contexts at entirely new global levels. Drawing on case studies and critical methodological approaches, this talk explores ways that International Studies could take a leading role in developing a more inclusive system of knowledge production that has the potential to identify, analyze and find solutions for the kinds of global-scale issues that to varying degrees are impacting us all.
