Leibniz’ Geometry of Space and the Localization of Monads
About the talk:
De Risi will sketch some of the most important geometrical results that Leibniz developed
in his works on analysis situs, and show how these reflections affected his metaphysics
and epistemology. In particular, he will concentrate on Leibniz’ studies on the foundations
of geometry and his epistemology of mathematics, as well as on the relation between
monads and space.
