“Professional and Academic Travels between Cuba and the United States”
with Lourdes Cisneros, University of Havana

Cisneros will speak about the interest that her Department of Tourism at the University of Havana has in the professional and academic exchanges between Cuba and the United States and various aspects of these professional and academic interactions as they relate to Cuba and the United States. Cisneros is the Chair of the Department of Tourism at the University of Havana.  She graduated with a B.A. in economics from the University of Oriente in Santiago de Cuba, and pursued post-graduate studies at the Universities of Andalucia and Valencia in Spain. A Ph.D. in economics, Cisneros is an expert on various aspects of tourism development, has authored several articles on the subject, and made presentations at numerous Cuban and international events related to the economics of tourism.
