Trans-Scripts, the graduate student-run interdisciplinary journal in the Humanities and Social Sciences at UC Irvine, will publish its second issue - "Queer Interventions and Intersections" - in May 2012. Join the Departments of African American Studies, Anthropology, Asian American Studies, History, and Women's Studies, and the Ph.D. Program in Culture and Theory in a sponsored launch party featuring a talk by Tom Boellstorff, anthropology professor, entitled "The Politics of Similitude: Global Sexuality Activism, Ethnography, and the Western Subject." Shadee Malaklou, Ph.D. candidate in culture and theory, will moderate the talk.
