4 Law Forum Required Courses (enrollment priority available for Law Forum members):

• Advocacy (details/enrollment)

This small, team-based course introduces an array of oral and written advocacy techniques and involves students in a series of in-class speaking exercises and team debates.

• Law in the 21st Century or qualifying  substitute (details/enrollment)

This seminar course explores the human dynamics behind the legal system.  Topics of discussion include legal ethics, modern legal education and the evolving roles of lawyers and judges. 

• Law & Society or qualifying legal research paper (details/enrollment)

This seminar course provides an opportunity to conduct independent legal research and prepare a written analysis under instructor supervision.  Individual topics vary.  [Enrollment priority may not be offered by all instructors.]

• Law Journal Editor or qualifying legal internship (details/enrollment)

Members of this seminar course are exposed to cutting edge legal issues and professional communication techniques while editing articles submitted for publication in the annual Law Forum Journal.  Individual responsibility, teamwork and effective leadership are emphasized as well.  [Limited enrollment via interview process.]
