[Jennifer] Lee and Zhou explain that this had a funneling effect that they call "hyperselection"
on immigrants from certain Asian countries. … As Lee said in an interview with the
University of California, Irvine news blog, "The biggest predictor of a child’s success
is parental education. If your parents are college-educated, the likelihood of you
going to college and graduating is very high."
