The November 27, 2023 Gurupurab celebrates the 554th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, spiritual master and founder of the Sikh tradition. We invite the university community to learn about Sikhism and Sikh Studies and celebrate with us on Tuesday, November 21st from 3-5 PM in the Department of Anthropology. Please RSVP and join us for light refreshments, music and short presentations from faculty, graduate students and student groups as we create sangat ("community") and reflect on Nanak's life and legacy during our present moment. All are welcome!
